WRSS Jewish Film Festival "Hava Nagila (The Movie)"

We are very excited to announce the second year of the White Rock South Surrey Jewish Film Festival (WRSSJFF) which will feature four films with varying themes and subjects.

Our first film will be the very entertaining musical comedy “Hava Nagila (The Movie)”.  Hava Nagila - is that the crazy Jewish Hora dance song that we all know from a Bar/Bat Mitzvah or a Jewish wedding? This documentary filmed in 2012 by Director/Producer Roberta Grossman  and Marta Kauffman (Producer of FRIENDS) will seek answers to where  this song originated.

Following the film, Sarona Mynhardt, Artistic Director Director of the White Rock Children’s Choir will  teach everyone to sing and dance the Hora.

Join us in this fun interactive, yet informative evening. The event will conclude with a scrumptious  selection of Jewish desserts and coffee/tea.
