The Yahrzeit candle is lit at sunset on the evening before the anniversary of a loved one’s passing, following the Hebrew calendar.

If you have an upcoming Yahrzeit and plan to attend a Shabbat service to say Kaddish, please let us know in advance so we can ensure a minyan is present.

Yahrzeit Reminder Service

Members are welcome to use our Yahrzeit reminder service. If you would like us to track the secular date and send you an annual reminder, please email the office with:

• The decedent’s name
• Their date of passing (Hebrew or secular)
• Their relationship to you
