Adult Study Group:

The discussion will centre around a segment of Judaism largely unknown - life within an ultra-Orthodox enclave. We will be discussing a memoir entitled Unorthodox - The Scandalous Rejection of my Hasidic Roots, written by Deborah Feldman, a young woman raised in Brooklyn, NY in the Satmar sect. Both the Surrey and White Rock libraries have copies, and you can also get the book from Amazon either as a Kindle selection ($9.73) or in paperback ($11.28). The book is easy reading (less than 250 pages) and quite fascinating.
